Sony RX100 VA & Nauticam NA-RX100V Housing Pro Package

This Pro level package includes the Sony RX100 VA camera and the Nauticam NA-RX100V housing, as well as a Flexitray with left and right, handles, two mounting balls for the handles and the vacuum valve.

The Sony RX100VA is a slightly upgraded version of the excellent MK V camera. The VA model has gained a new processor and a few firmware updates including deeper buffer, additional WB modes and dual 720p / 4K video recording.

The Sony RX100 VA features a large 1" sensor for a more dynamic light range, can shoot at 24fps in burst mode and impressively detailed 4K video. Autofocus is controlled by more advanced 315 point phase-detection rather than contrast detection like the majority of cameras in its class and there isn't much that can beat its huge processing power.

The features you'd expect are certainly present, like ergonomic design, the clearly labelled controls, sculpted shutter release and more.  An updated fibre optic connection block is standard, as is the built-in vacuum check and leak detection system electronics.  Accessory bulkhead port supports HDMI cables for an external monitor.

The NA-RX100V is milled from a block of solid aluminium, then hard anodised.  The result is a rugged and reliable piece of gear that will stand up to saltwater and the daily rigours of diving.  Since the housing accesses all of the camera controls, including the front control ring, the user can take advantage of the enhanced programmability in the RX100 VA.  

The RX100 housings feature an industry-standard 67mm threaded port mount, meaning it is easy to attach a number of different wet mount lenses.

The engineers at Nauticam managed to squeeze in the Nauticam vacuum monitoring and leak detection electronics.  By default, it serves as an audible and visual leak detector, but add a Nauticam M14 Vacuum Valve, and it becomes a vacuum check system.  The vacuum monitoring system provides early warning for any problem with watertight integrity - which means peace of mind when shooting underwater.
