The most notable feature of the WFS-05 is its circular flash tube that provides a perfectly round beam and smooth illumination without a diffuser. The WFS-05 is powerful enough for most situations an underwater photographer will encounter. It also comes with a 200-lumen white and red LED focusing light with 10 power levels to choose from. Unlike most of the underwater strobes currently available, the WFS-05 light uses a 4300 mAh Li-ion battery for power. This easily triples the number of flashes the strobe is able to produce with one charge in comparison with AA-battery powered units.

The Weefine WFS-05 is equipped with an automatic sync mode (STTL equivalent) that adjusts the flash according to the cameras internal flash. Both single and pre-flash manual modes are also included. The WFS-05 strobe is a great all-around mid-range strobe with a surprisingly affordable price tag.
