Lights

Underwater photography lights are divided into two main categories: Strobe lights (or flash) and video lights. Strobes work by syncing with the camera, usually via a fibre optic cable and provide lots of light for a briefest of moments. Most underwater strobes today sync via the camera's on-board flash. A video light is a constant light source that can be used, in addition with moving images, as a light source for still photography. Video lights have a wide beam that can be used to light a larger area than a conventional diver’s light. Be it a constant light or a strobe light, remember to get close as, in water, diffused light does not travel far.
